We are looking for a hands-on IT Networking Leader with strong experience in network architecture, security, performance optimization, and team mentorship. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both designing secure network environments and guiding engineers to deliver seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a secure and scalable network architecture (switching, routing, network services, and security).
- Plan network capacity expansion to support company growth.
- Prioritize and oversee resolution of security and network issues for the team.
- Review the organization’s security posture and recommend architectural improvements.
- Document systems, security implementations, SOPs, and operational processes.
- Provide cybersecurity insights to leadership based on threats and vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams and technical documentation.
- Lead projects and drive automation opportunities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering team members.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto & Meraki firewalls, Cisco 6500s, and Meraki switches.
- Strong knowledge of ACLs, IPsec, and traffic inspection.
- Deep understanding of networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, STP (RSTP/MSTP), AAA, and Layer 2 switching.
- Experience using tools like Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Understanding of wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 6) and securing wireless networks.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network).
- Familiarity with compliance standards like HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
- Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.

Education & Certifications
