Job Title: Mech Assembler II
Location: 1006 EXPLORER BLVD, Huntsville, AL, 35806
Duration: 6 months (Contract to hire)
Client: Leidos
PR: $33.80/hr on W2
2nd shift position Mon-Thurs (4:00pm - 12:30am)
Job Description:
MUST HAVE CERTIFICATIONS:
-Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620.
-Current certification in J-STD-001.
This is a wire harness assembly role, not PCB wiring.
Primary Responsibilities
-Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
-Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron).
-Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop
a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly.
-Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues.

Basic Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience with cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
- -Working knowledge of specialized tools (Crimpers, wire strippers) and equipment used during cable assembly process.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Required Qualifications
-Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620.
-Current certification in J-STD-001.
Preferred Qualifications
