Position Title: Sr OpenShift Architect

Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote

Acceptable time zone(s): Flexible - CT/EST

Days of the week: Mon - Fri 40 hours

Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5 pm core hours

OT: Minimal (Available to perform weekend shift if needed.)

Intended length of Assignment: 1/30/2026

**This position is a contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. The manager will only look at candidates who are open to converting to a full-time employee. The client will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Function of the Group: A Combination of mitigating risk and reducing costs.

Initiatives/Projects: For OCP Engineers for UC8 Container Modernization due to the large amount of growth for the team.

Industry background: Open to all backgrounds, but banking/financial is a plus

Team Dynamic: Team of engineers - roughly 10, Product Owner, Support team that handles support for OCP (OpenShift Container Platform)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hands-on engineering for OCP(OpenShift Container Platform)
• Heavily involved in the OCP
• Administrative work
• Engineering work
• Architectural type work
• Cross-training and exposure to many different areas
• Communicate with customers, third-party vendors, and Reh Hat's associates.
• Troubleshooting skills and a passion for problem-solving and investigation.

Level 3: 4-6 YRS

Must Have Technical Skills:

• Red Hat OpenShift or other K8s platforms
• Red Hat Linux operating systems
• Understanding of networking and storage architectures for OpenShift / K8s.
• Experience working with hosted applications or large-scale application deployments
• Good understanding of Linux tools

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

• Cloud experience
• Automation experience with AgroCD, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines

Soft Skills:

• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively
• Passion for problem-solving and investigation
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
• Ability to think out of the box

Education/Certifications:

Experience instead of education
