Job Title: Junior Store Attendant
Location: Shreveport, LA
Duration: 12 Months
Monday-Friday, 8 hours each day (6:30 am - 3:00 pm). Overtime is required as needed.
Description:
Job Summary:
Perform duties under general supervision that involve receiving, checking, inspecting, recording, storing and issuing new, returned and reclaimed stores material, supplies and equipment; issue, track and inspect materials as assigned.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
1) Receive, check, inspect for breakage and apparent defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store, and issue new, returned, and reclaimed stores material, tools, supplies, and equipment from all sources in accordance with specified procedures and complete related papers; make recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
2) Operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, lift trucks, automotive, and other store equipment as assigned.
3) Perform physical inventories of material and supplies, capitalized spare parts, tools, and exempt material as assigned.
4) Load, unload, pack, unpack, stock, move, count, weigh, sort, and arrange equipment, tools, and supplies in bins, shelves, and storage areas.
5) Prepare store documents as required with accurate and appropriate data.
6) Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver freight, express, parcel post, supplies, material, and equipment from and to manufacturers, dealers, agencies, and other company locations.
7) Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
8) Perform all duties in accordance with the company's safety rules, operating regulations, and practices, and report unsafe conditions and practices.
9) Train for and carry out assignments in firefighting, first aid, and other emergency response programs as required.
10) Report irregularities and abnormal conditions to the appropriate supervision.
11) Assist employees as required.
12) Assist in performing necessary store quality control functions as required.
13) Perform similar or less skilled work. Basic Qualifications Education requirements: High School Degree or equivalent education (GED).
Work Experience requirement:
Through a combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
1)A minimum of 1 year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience is required.
2)Must possess basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo; Microsoft Excel and Word experience is also preferred.
3)Must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
4)Must possess a strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
5)Must understand and perform basic math functions. Must be able to work independently and possess good communication skills.
6)Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds; successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT) is required. Must possess the appropriate State drivers license.
7)Must be able to operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and overhead cranes.

Dress Code & PPE:
Steel Toe Boots are required. Jeans (Long Pants) and T-Shirt (no inappropriate words or pictures, no cutoff shirts) can be worn. All other PPE is provided.
If worker wears eyeglasses, side shields are required, client does not provide side shields.
