Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant

📍 Location: 100% Remote

📅 Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)

📌 Candidate Location: Must reside in SC, NC, or GA

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Healthcare Consultant to support implementation and ongoing operations of healthcare systems, including EHR, lab, PACS, and pharmacy platforms. This role involves working closely with clinical, technical, and vendor teams to ensure system stability, integration, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications
• Maintain health IT systems, databases, and reporting structures
• Troubleshoot and resolve EMR/EHR issues with root cause analysis

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience with EMR systems (preferably NextGen)
• Hands-on experience with Mirth / NextGen Connect
• Strong experience in EMR integration and interoperability
• Knowledge of healthcare IT operations and data transfer
• Experience working with State Government healthcare environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HL7 and FHIR messaging standards
• Relevant certifications in NextGen, EHR, or Practice Management

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Administration, IT, or related field
