The Accounting Assistant provides important clerical and technical support to the finance department and works closely with the Controller and other team members on a variety of accounting functions.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll gain exposure to many areas of accounting and finance, including:
- Downloading bank transactions and maintaining financial spreadsheets
- Running daily customer billing processes
- Submitting customer invoices through online portals
- Maintaining customer sales tax exemption certificates
- Managing certificates of insurance documentation
- Assisting with business license renewals
- Supporting online sales tax filings
- Assisting with finance tasks such as:
- Cash applications
- Customer refunds
- Account reconciliations
- Helping with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred OR
- 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related experience
