We're looking for a highly dependable individual, familiar with common rental store items, to work in our rental department approximately 20-25 hours per week. Shifts will vary and can include evenings and weekends.
The Tool Rental Associate is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all activities of the rental department. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following tasks with little or no supervision.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide rental rates and quotes
• Check rentals in and out each day and maintain contract files and rental reservations
• Write rental contracts on a PC program
• Schedule pick-up and/or delivery of rental equipment and load/unload equipment – the right candidate should
have a good driving record as you may have to do some delivery and pick-ups
• Engage in discussions with customers related to the proper equipment based on customers’ needs
• The right candidate will possess knowledge of or be able to learn about all rental equipment, including
operation, application, capabilities and limitations; we will familiarize you with the models we rent
• The right candidate will possess knowledge of routine maintenance and trouble-shooting requirements of all
rental equipment; we will familiarize you with the models we rent
• The right candidate will understand and be able to explain the following to customers: equipment operation and
safety issues and the customers’ responsibility for the equipment during the rental; we will familiarize you with
the models we rent
• The right candidate will have an aptitude/general knowledge of small engines
• The right candidate enjoys performing light tune-ups, oil changes and small parts replacement on the equipment
we rent
Some of the equipment we rent is:
• Hand & power tools – i.e. drills, saws, sawzalls, grinders, sanders
• Party goods – i.e. popcorn, cotton candy, slushy & Sno Kone machines, tables & chairs
• Lawn & garden equipment – i.e. tillers, thatchers, aerators, sod cutters
• Bobcats, tow behind man lifts and mini excavators
