Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management processes. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining a positive shopping environment and achieving business objectives.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  • Manage daily store operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer service
  • Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize sales
  • Handle purchasing decisions and pricing strategies to maximize profitability
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
  • Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards
  • Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs, and team management activities
  • Manage POS systems, sales transactions, and retail math calculations with precision
  • Develop schedules for shift management to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
  • Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, staff, and customers effectively
  • Supervise inventory control measures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels
  • Oversee promotional activities such as merchandising and marketing campaigns
  • Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management

Skills

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and team management expertise
  • Proficiency in retail sales systems including POS, inventory management software, and cashiering tools
  • Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and cash handling accurately
  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization
  • Experience in employee orientation, recruiting, interviewing, training & development
  • Knowledge of retail math, marketing strategies, merchandising, stocking procedures, and inventory control
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills and a professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff during shift management while maintaining high standards of store operations
  • Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
