Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Manage daily store operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer service
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize sales
- Handle purchasing decisions and pricing strategies to maximize profitability
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs, and team management activities
- Manage POS systems, sales transactions, and retail math calculations with precision
- Develop schedules for shift management to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, staff, and customers effectively
- Supervise inventory control measures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels
- Oversee promotional activities such as merchandising and marketing campaigns
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and team management expertise
- Proficiency in retail sales systems including POS, inventory management software, and cashiering tools
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Ability to handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and cash handling accurately
