Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to take on multiple responsibilities. This role requires but not limited to customer service, warehouse operations, inventory maintenance, small engine repair, and product assembly to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
• Greet and assist customers with product inquiries, finding the right solutions for their needs.
• Provide expert advice on tools, hardware, and home improvement projects.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Assist customers with product demonstrations and explain the usage of various items.
2. Assembly, Deliveries, and Small Engine Repair:
• Perform basic assembly and installation of products purchased by customers or store display (e.g. grills, STHIL equipment, lawnmowers, etc.).
• Perform general maintenance or repairs on small engines. Training available to the right candidate.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
3. General Store Maintenance:
• Help maintain the store’s appearance by ensuring aisles are tidy, shelves are stocked, and products are displayed correctly.
• Assist in organizing seasonal displays and promotional materials.
• Ensure all safety procedures and cleanliness standards are maintained.
4. Multi-Tasking and Flexibility:
• Adapt to various tasks as needed, from inventory management to customer service to operational support.
• Work closely with the rest of the team to support store objectives and ensure smooth operations.
5. Forklift Operation
• Safely operate a forklift to move, organize, and store merchandise in the warehouse.
• Ensure inventory is accurately stocked and stored to meet customer demands.
• Maintain safety protocols while operating the forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and restocking shelves in the store.
• Training and licensing required and is provided by Moison Ace Hardware
• Not all candidates will qualify
Qualifications:
• Experience: Prior experience in a retail or hardware setting is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
• Skills:
o Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
o Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively (previous experience preferred but not required, training program available).
o Basic knowledge of small engines and tool repairs preferred
o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware related issues.
o Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
o Basic computer and POS (point of sale) knowledge.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 70 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Other Essential Requirements

High School or GED equivalent.
•Experience
Formal retail experience preferred.
