What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumberyard Delivery Specialist position at Individually Owned and Operated Ace Hardware Store?
Associate is responsible for building loads for deliveries. In addition, must maintain a safe, clean and organized lumber yard/warehouse, load and unload lumber and/or building supplies, maintain inventory, and operate a forklift. Other duties as assigned.

- Load and unload lumber and building supplies by hand or with forklift
- Assist customers in selecting and loading purchased materials
- Pull merchandise for delivery or pickup per loading ticket
- Maintain inventory by stocking, straightening and cleaning
- Keeps management aware of any problems or discrepancies
- Keeps lumber yard clean, organized, and safe
- Perform any other duties, responsibilities or task as assigned
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Safely and efficiently operate forklift
- Must take and pass a drug test and consent to a background check
- Work in outdoor/indoor conditions, and ability to load and unload lumber and other building materials
- Must have a clean driving record
- A CDL preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a lumber yard or similar preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred but not required
