What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A Delivery Driver position at Individual Foodservice?
We are in search of a Class A Delivery Driver to join our growing team.
Starting Pay Rate - $27.65 per hour
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicle
- Pick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered
- Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
- Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations
- Maintain the predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Will possess a Valid Class A driver's license required
- High school or GED equivalent required
- Experience with Local Deliveries/Inside deliveries
- Experience driving Straight truck (bobtail 24ft to 26ft) Manual transmission preferred
- Able to use lift gate, operate pallet jacks. Use hand truck & dollies.
- 2 years of delivery driver experience
- Driving record must meet company safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-placement drug testing
- Must be able to maintain a DOT Medical Card, required for the role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- High level of composure and good stress management
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a union position with a starting pay rate of $27.65/hour in accordance with the CBA.
