What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Individual Advocacy Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Behavior Support Programs (BSPs) and monthly behavior documentation.
- Complete annual assessments (e.g., FBA, Risk Assessment) for individuals on your caseload.
- Monitor and coach Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in implementing interventions and accurate documentation.
- Provide initial and ongoing training to DSPs on BSPs and behavior strategies.
- Lead the regional Behavior Management Committee and respond to behavioral crises as needed.
- Participate in intake assessments, transition planning, and emergency support.
- Collaborate with guardians, QIDPs, ISCs, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated support.
- Maintain compliance with documentation, billing, and regulatory timelines.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a Human Services-related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Illinois BCBA licensure is not currently required to practice within the agency.
- Valid driver’s license; regional travel is required.
- Must complete and maintain CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certifications within designated timeframes.
