Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding hospitality. The Host/Host will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist with seating arrangements while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome.
- Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
- Communicate wait times to guests and keep them informed.
- Assist servers in managing guest flow during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or answering inquiries.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent customer service abilities to create a welcoming environment.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in food service or hotel settings is preferred but not required.
- A helpful attitude with the willingness to assist where needed.
