Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and routine inspections on a wide range of biomedical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues using advanced electronics diagnostics, schematics reading, and test equipment operation for biomedical devices.
• Conduct repairs on electro-mechanical components, ensuring equipment functions accurately and safely for clinical use.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document service activities, track maintenance schedules, and manage work orders efficiently.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to diagnose equipment failures, provide technical support, and ensure minimal downtime during field service visits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to identify faults and implement effective solutions aligned with ISO standards and biomedical regulatory compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, and inspections in accordance with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) regulations and industry best practices.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for biomedical devices.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of complex medical electronics.
• Mechanical skills for biomedical equipment repair including familiarity with electro-mechanical components.
• Experience operating test equipment specific to biomedical systems for accurate diagnostics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and interpret engineering troubleshooting guides.
• Hands-on experience with calibration procedures to ensure device accuracy and compliance standards are met.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and documentation management.
• Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information to clinical staff.
• Basic computer hardware knowledge relevant to medical device interfaces and software troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of biomedical engineering principles within healthcare settings to support equipment safety and regulatory adherence.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
