What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Analyst position at Indigo Industries?
Job Summary
As a Program Analyst at Indigo Industries you’ll accelerate the delivery of warfighter-relevant capabilities by helping shape exercise planning, test & evaluation, and prototype transition efforts. You’ll work at the intersection of operations, engineering, and acquisition to provide programmatic analysis, measurement, and coordination that drive decisions across rapid prototyping, nontraditional T&E, and fielding activities. You’ll join multi-disciplinary teams that execute joint/exercise participation and move prototypes from demonstration to transition under the Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
Indigo Industries Overview
What you’ll do
- Lead program analysis and performance measurement for prototype efforts: develop metrics, track cost/schedule/technical risk, and produce bodies of evidence that support acquisition and transition decisions.
- Plan and coordinate exercises, experiments, and operational utility assessments: scope objectives, develop scenarios, integrate prototypes and technical capabilities, and support execution and after-action reporting.
- Integrate electronic warfare, resilient communications, autonomy, and other technical capabilities into test and exercise environments; work with engineering and test teams to ensure realistic operational conditions.
- Prepare and maintain program artifacts: schedules, planning guidance, collection/test plans, decision-point briefings, and transition roadmaps consistent with OUSD(R&E) and AAF approaches.
- Serve as the programmatic interface between customers, program managers, engineers, testers, and contracting teams to align requirements, funding lines, and fielding strategies.
- Synthesize technical and operational data into concise reports and briefings for program leadership and DoD stakeholders emphasizing operational utility, risks, and recommended lines of effort.
- Support implementation of DoD acquisition and test policies relevant to prototype contracting, rapid procurement, and nontraditional T&E methods.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in program analysis, program management, or operations analysis supporting defense programs.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition constructs (Adaptive Acquisition Framework) and prototype-based contracting.
- Demonstrated experience planning or supporting exercises, experiments, or operational test events.
- Strong analytic, written, and briefing skills; ability to translate technical results into decision-quality recommendations.
Preferred qualifications
- Background or hands-on experience with electronic warfare, resilient communications, autonomous systems, or related technical domains.
- Experience integrating prototypes into joint exercises, experiments, or operational assessments.
- Familiarity with OUSD(R&E) test & evaluation approaches and metrics for operational utility.
- Experience coordinating across engineering, test, contracting, and operational stakeholder groups in a rapid-fielding environment.
Why you’ll love it here
Indigo accelerates the delivery of advanced capabilities to the warfighter using a nontraditional, results-driven methodology. You’ll work on high-impact programs that prototype and test technologies in real operational contexts, collaborate across engineering and operational communities, and directly influence which capabilities transition to the field.
