We are looking for an Account Manager who knows how to run excellent PR campaigns, while also motivated by how the industry is changing. This role requires someone willing to learn, integrate new strategies, and execute with confidence.

You’ll be leading integrated PR campaigns for companies across Defense Tech, Energy, Sustainability and Climate, Industrial Manufacturing, and B2B Technology. As Indicate Media continues to grow, this role may also support campaigns in additional verticals, including Financial Services.
You’ll operate as both a strategic advisor and an executional lead, shaping compelling narratives, securing high-value media placements, and driving client objectives through efficient leadership and hands-on work.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead Client Partner Accounts
- Be the Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the lead on your accounts by building trust, offering clear guidance, and acting as a strategic advisor to our client partners. You will lead calls, manage day to day communication, and ensure our work is executed with excellence.
- Collaboration: You’ll work closely with our client partners and internal teams to define clear objectives, lead initiatives, and continuously refine strategy to drive meaningful impact.
- Deep Tech Knowledge: You’ll immerse yourself in each client’s world, understanding the complexities of their business strategy, products, services, customer base, and competitive landscape ensuring you can speak their language, anticipate needs, and guide initiatives that align with their bigger objectives.
Lead Strategy & Execution
- Media Relations: You’ll develop and oversee tailored media relations strategies, working closely with a Media Relations expert on the team that you’ll lead. From defining clear objectives and target audiences to shaping journalist messaging and creating detailed media briefs, you will ensure every initiative is focused, aligned, and completed.
- Tech Stack: You’ll learn the media-tech tools that power our daily work, ensuring the team uses them effectively to perform and deliver. That includes AI platforms that support research, analysis, and measurement and Muck Rack to source contacts, personalize outreach, track coverage, and measure results.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: You’ll keep a close eye on media coverage, continuously analyzing what’s landing and where there’s room to improve. By tracking earned media in real time and tying it back to account objectives and business outcomes, you’ll guide smart adjustments with your team that keep campaigns on track and results clearly measurable.
Lead a PR & Media Relations Team
- Integrated Team Leadership: You’ll lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team of PR specialists, including experts in media relations, content, conferences, events, and awards, and events – to deliver cohesive, insight-driven work that ladders up to client objectives. With a focus on integration and impact, you’ll help bring big-picture strategies to life through seamless execution and team alignment.
- People Leadership & Mentorship: You’ll coach and mentor team members with a balance of strategic guidance, real-time feedback, and long-term professional development. Qualifications
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communication Studies, or a related field OR at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Public Relations.
- Proven PR Expertise: 5 years of experience in B2B Tech Public Relations, with a track record of securing impactful media coverage.
- Leadership Experience: You have experience leading a team, with clear directives and established deadlines, ensuring the team understands the strategic path forward.
- Industry Engagement: Willingness to occasionally travel for client events and industry conferences, representing brands and building relationships.
- Tech-Savvy PR Skills: Familiarity with PR CRM systems and media databases is a plus, helping to streamline media outreach and campaign tracking.
