RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Greet and seat patients
- Set up operatories for patient procedures
- Review schedules and anticipate doctor needs in advance
- Assist chairside in both the dental office and at the hospital
- Enter treatment plans
- Take x-rays as prescribed by doctor
- Performing prophylaxis on children
- Clean and disinfect operatories
- Package and sterilize instruments
- Keep operatory fully stocked
- Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
- Answering phones
- Taking/confirming appointments
- Writing letters to referring dentists
- Office cleaning/housekeeping duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- Iowa Dental Assisting License
- Active CPR certification
PREFERRED QUALITIES
- Pediatric dentistry experience is a plus
- OpenDental software experience is a plus
- Nitrous oxide monitoring certification is a plus
