Summary of Position: The primary responsibilities are to assist, support, and encourage a successful intercollegiate women’s basketball program, representing coaches and student athletes, as well as assisting in the operational components of the Sports Information Department.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach to develop, manage, and successfully coach basketball, to include scheduling, recruiting, equipment management, reporting scores and statistics
- Operate within budget parameters, without exception. Submit all receipts and budget reports on time as directed by the Director of Athletics
- Ensure strict adherence to all Crossroads League and NAIA by laws and regulations
- Ensure adherence with established institutional compliance rules, policies, and procedures as well as ethical standards of behavior
- Ensure satisfactory academic performance of student-athletes
- Assist head coaches in advertising sports camps and events
- Develop and implement basketball halftime events and entertainment
- Provide game day Sports Information coverage, including student worker supervision, photography, statistics, and press releases
- Assist in planning and implementing daily practice sessions
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in coaching (college-level experience preferred), including recruiting student-athletes, marketing, scheduling, equipment budgeting/management, and facility care
- Demonstrates a mature and expressive Christian faith commitment
- Passionately supports and articulates the University's mission and vision for athletics within the context of that mission
- Gifted in supervising and motivating others
- Creative and innovative, discerning, and a thorough planner
- Strong organizer, communicator, and gifted in confrontation
- Must subscribe to the principles and lifestyle of the Wesleyan Church
