No CDL required, Entry level driving position with assistance in obtaining your CDL. We are looking for a reliable, and motivated person to drive a Non CDL (under 26,000 GVWR) garbage truck to collect trash and recycling from homes and businesses.
As well as drive a flatbed delivery truck delivering trash and recycling containers to customers.
Indiana Waste Service will provide assistance with obtaining your Commercial Driver's License, including your CDL permit and Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT). This position is designed for individuals who are committed to advancing into a CDL Class B Driver position within our company.

Job Duties
- Trash and recycling route driver of a non cdl truck collecting & load trash bags and items by hand and dump containers into the garbage truck, servicing several hundred customers thought out the route.
- Drive flatbed delivery truck, loading trash containers into the truck. Deliver and or remove trash container to multiple customers address each day.
- Laboring as a driver's helper on trash and recycling routes when needed, load trash bags and items by hand and dump containers into the garbage truck using dumping mechanism, servicing several hundred customers thought out the route.
- Motivated to obtain your CDL and promote within our company to a CDL Class B garbage truck driving position.
Responsibilities
- Follow and manage delivery schedule
- Follow directions, learn street names and know the area we service
- Load, unload, prepare and strap down containers, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Complete logs and paperwork, return necessary items to the office daily
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety standards
Skills
- High school degree
- Must have a Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Proven working experience, past experience driving vehicles for the job.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to load and unload containers, lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing large dumpsters on wheels.
- Excellent attitude and willingness to learn
