With dedicated pavilions for specialty surgery, women and children, and an attached medical office building and cancer center , IU Health North Hospital brings together physician offices, inpatient beds and operating rooms in a state-of-the-art facility. In 2020, the hospital saw over 8,800 inpatient admissions and over 172,000 outpatient visits.
Riley Children's Health at IU Health North Hospital provides nationally ranked pediatric care alongside the most highly skilled physicians in the state, offering primary, specialty, inpatient and emergency care.
Position Details:
- Full-time
- Rotating
- Sample week- Day 1-24-hour inpatient care (postpartum rounding, triage, labor management of low-risk OB patients)
- 2 outpatient 8-hour clinic days
- Call schedule
- Inpatient call once every 6 days
- 60% Inpatient
- 40% Outpatient
- Working directly with 7 Physicians and working directly with 12-16 APP's
- Vaginal delivery, episiotomy with repair, repair of 1st and 2nd degree lacerations, FSE/IUPC placement, LARC placement/removal, Assist in MD cesarean sections. GYN procedures such as endometrial biopsy and pap smears.
- Adolescent and woman off all ages seeking OBGYN care
- Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
- Managing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman care
- Diagnosing and coordinating all aspects of the birthing process
- Delivering ambulatory gynecological services
- Must be a Certified Nurse Midwife
- 1 year experience preferred
- Previous work experience within a health system delivering both ambulatory and inpatient care
- Strong knowledge base of both OB management and Gynecology care
