Overview
Location: Tipton Medical Office Building
Schedule: Rotating 6:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 8‑hour onsite shifts
Part-time 24 hours per week! This position is benefits eligible!
Key Responsibilities
Initiate the patient appointment process, including check‑in and check‑out.
- Verify insurance coverage, obtain required consents, and manage incoming phone calls.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure accurate demographic and financial data collection to support reimbursement and clinical outcomes.
- Schedule appointments, explain department and hospital policies, and enter charges into appropriate systems.
- Provide accurate information and direct patients and visitors in a professional manner.
Skills for Success
- Strong computer proficiency, including Cerner, Five9, E‑Care Next/Passport, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook/Teams).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD‑10 and CPT knowledge preferred.
- Ability to interpret insurance information; familiarity with clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
