The Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position for the upcoming academic year (a one-year appointment). This 10-month, full-time (non-tenure track) appointment is ideal for an educator or clinician-scholar looking to gain experience within a top-tier Communication Sciences and Disorders program.
We are seeking an engaging educator to join our faculty and contribute to our vibrant teaching mission. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester (Fall and Spring), including a graduate-level course on phonological disorders. The position will provide the opportunity to shape the clinical foundation of our graduate students, teach undergraduate coursework in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, and collaborate with a faculty dedicated to outstanding teaching standards and student success.

Our department is housed in a state-of-the art facility, the Regional Academic Health Center, with the Speech-Language and Hearing Clinics, numerous research laboratories, and is connected to the Bloomington hospital. The department also offers a preschool program aimed at supporting language development in preschool-aged children, including those who are typically developing, learning English as a second language, or experiencing communication delays. Salary is competitive and commensurate with level of experience and qualifications.
Basic Qualifications
Required: A master’s degree or a PhD in communication sciences and disorders or related field is required. Candidates who are ABD will be considered if a master’s degree in speech-language pathology has already been obtained.
Preferred: Teaching experience at a post-secondary institution. Clinical experience in a pediatric setting.
