What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor of Clinical Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology position at Indiana University and Careers?
The IU School of Medicine (IUSM) Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology (ACBP) is seeking well‐qualified and highly motivated applicants for a clinical‐track faculty position in department. Successful applicants for this education-focused position must have a PhD and/or MD degree. Competitive candidates will have a significant background in teaching gross anatomy and general physiology to medical and professional students. Additional responsibilities will include administering a program that awards a pre-professional master’s degree in biomedical science, as well as maintaining an oversight role on other graduate programs within the department. An active research program is not a requirement for the position. The IUSM is committed to advancing outstanding educational delivery in an integrated environment of basic science and clinical care.
Faculty must be highly collaborative and eager to work in interdisciplinary teams across fields and participate in the entire educational mission of the department. Opportunities exist for collaborations in course development across the School of Medicine and IUPUI campus and throughout Indianapolis, including the areas of anatomy, physiology, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy. The successful applicant will have opportunities to engage in relevant service opportunities with the department and school. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis; start dates are flexible.
