The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is primarily responsible for assisting with program needs as assigned by the Head Coach, including, but not limited to, the following.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, development and administration of certain aspects of the program
- Assist in implementation of team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
- Assist in academic oversight of student-athletes
- Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned
- Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech
- Aid the Head Coach in planning and executing field sessions
- Assist in player development
- Assist in game day strategies and execution
- Execute film breakdown and scouting
- Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements.
- Develop fundraising strategies
- Coordinate travel logistics for on-road contests and other needs
- Complete other duties as assigned by the head coach or the athletic director
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- USSF 'D' Coaching license or higher and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma or higher preferred
Experience
- 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred
- Minimum 2 yrs. coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level preferred
- Minimum 2 yrs. coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
Working Conditions
- Nights and weekends required
- Overtime hours required in season
- Travel for competitions and recruiting required
