Human Resources Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator will act as the second chair of the Human Resource (HR) department. Activities include; hiring and interviewing staff and enforcing company policies and practices along with processing of payroll (Paylocity).
THIS POSITION WORKS IN A MANUFACTORING & UNION ENVIROMENT
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications (E-Verify).
· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Transmits weekly, biweekly, COS, special runs and bonus payrolls - accurately processes all payroll accurately and on time using reports to verify accuracy
· Administers and tracks garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) – ensure and monitors that the appropriate deductions are being withheld and sent to the appropriate services
· Completes and sends requested verification(s) of employment
· Completes wages statement requests for workers comp and disability providers
· General Ledger entries – completes the general ledger accurately and timely
· Compile payroll reports – completes verification reports ensuring the accuracy of each processed payroll.
· Assists all Manager/Supervisors and their respective employees as needed with their payroll needs
· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· 5-10years of Human Resource experience.
· Manufacturing, Food Production
· SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Walking the plant floor daily.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
