Job Overview

Affordable MRI of Indianapolis, the most cost-effective High Field MRI Imaging facility in the region, is seeking a proven professional with a “can-do” attitude.

As a result of continuing growth (now with East and West locations), AMRI is seeking a Full-time or Part-time MRI Technologist.

AMRI is a market leader in the greater Indianapolis region for pay and benefits. Our facilities are managed by a seasoned Registered Nurse Manager. The Operations and Management team brings over 40 years of healthcare imaging experience to provide the best quality and value MRI in the area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Screen patients before the exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the MRI.
  • Obtain accurate and thorough patient medical histories.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures.
  • Positioning patients using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure safety and high image quality.
  • Highly effective communication skills with patients.
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Prepare and inject IV contrast per protocol.
  • Precisely follows ordering physician and radiologist orders
  • Follow all safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
  • Accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) and all other documentation software.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect equipment after each use
  • Consult with a Radiologist about protocol changes or repeat imaging.
  • Must be able to carry MRI equipment/coils weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Operate MRI computer equipment and monitor patients during their scans.
  • Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
  • Answering incoming calls and patient scheduling as needed or directed with incoming call overflow
  • Review dictated reports for accuracy in patient identification, exam labels, and ordering provider prior to releasing.
  • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual
  • Evaluate image quality
  • Monitor supply inventory and request supplies as necessary from the HCM.
  • Assists with training of new technologists.
  • When not performing MRI duties, assist with clerical functions, such as answering phones or scheduling patients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum (3) years MRI technologist experience.
  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Willingness to work flexing hours at both East and West locations that will include some weekends and evenings.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
