Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician/Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems while supporting overall facility maintenance. This role helps ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, and equipment
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components such as breakers, panels, and outlets
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections on electrical systems
- Maintain and test emergency systems (generators, exit lighting, fire alarms)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
- Assist with general maintenance tasks (basic carpentry, plumbing, and facility repairs)
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or work orders as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Document repairs and maintenance activities
- Work with staff to minimize disruption to resident care
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid electrician license or certification (per state requirements preferred)
- Experience in electrical work and general maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues
