We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to residents in a long term care setting, with a focus on pediatrics and young adults.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Management of ventilator and trach dependent residents
- Administer and documentation of respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
- Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working in a critical care setting preferred
- Basic life support certification required
