What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Indiana Fitness Works Inc.?
We are seeking a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to work in Columbus, Indiana.
Requirements for a Registered Occupational Therapist:
- Be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy college
- Display evidence of interest in continued education within the profession and is encouraged to be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Organization (AOTA)
- Must be licensed in the State of Indiana to practice OT
- May be responsible for supervising/training personnel such as COTA
- CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification
- Previous experience in home health or in a health care setting is recommended but not required
Responsibilities for a Registered Occupational Therapist:
- Follow receipt of a doctor's referral, the therapist is responsible for evaluating the patient within 24 hours of written referral
- Recommend programs will be patient specific to diagnosis according to the type/age of patient under program
- After evaluating the patient, the therapist is responsible for planning, administering and supervising the COTA in an appropriate treatment plan
- Will communicate with the referring physician and member of the rehabilitation team regarding the patient's total treatment program.
- Will maintain an accurate daily record of treatments given to patients
- PRN.
