Rep. Payee Client Services Specialist

Job Summary

The Representative Payee Client Services Specialist provides direct client support, benefits coordination, budgeting assistance, and case management services within the Representative Payee Program. This position helps clients maintain stability through communication, advocacy, referrals, and compliance with agency and Social Security requirements.

Reports To: Director of Technology & Representative Payeeship Services

Areas of Responsibility

• Client case management and ongoing support
• Benefits coordination and application assistance
• Budget monitoring and financial advocacy
• Community referrals and service coordination
• Program compliance, documentation, and reporting

Core Duties

• Serve as a liaison with Social Security and other agencies on behalf of clients
• Maintain regular client contact through office visits, phone calls, email, and follow-up appointments
• Conduct intake appointments, needs assessments, budgeting reviews, and goal planning
• Assist clients with benefits, housing applications, tax-related programs, and community resource referrals
• Advocate with landlords, vendors, service providers, family members, and partner agencies as appropriate
• Monitor client needs, balances, special spending requests, and reportable changes
• Maintain complete, accurate, confidential case files and program documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of experience in social services, case management, counseling, adult education, mental health, or a related field
• Strong communication, organizational, math, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
• Knowledge of community resources and social service systems preferred
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn agency systems
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a client-centered approach

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance meeting agency standards
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to obtain Motor Vehicle Report and Act 33 and Act 34 clearances
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive client information with discretion

Work Environment & Expectations

Position averages 35 hours per week, with flexibility up to 40 hours during high-demand periods. Work involves office-based responsibilities, client communication, and coordination with outside agencies and community partners.

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
