The CMA will assist healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks. Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and health concerns.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing insurance forms.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as drawing blood, collecting specimens, and performing EKGs.
- Educate patients on medication usage, lifestyle changes, and preventive healthcare measures.
- Handle medical instruments and assist during minor surgeries or procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards throughout the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare administration.
- Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
