Key Responsibilities
Event Preparation & Setup
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications
- Ensure all spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready prior to guest arrival
- Assist in arranging buffets, service stations, and décor elements as needed
Service Execution
- Provide attentive, friendly, and professional service to members and guests
- Take and deliver beverage orders; serve meals in accordance with established service standards
- Pour and refill beverages including water, coffee, and wine throughout service
- Maintain a strong knowledge of menus, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently answer guest inquiries
- Execute a variety of service styles, including plated, buffet, and reception-style events
Team Support & Event Flow
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Assist with clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables throughout the event
- Support service stations, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in all banquet and back-of-house areas
- Respond promptly to guest needs and communicate any concerns or feedback to supervisors
Breakdown & Reset
- Break down banquet rooms following events, including removal of linens, tableware, and equipment
- Reset rooms efficiently to prepare for upcoming functions
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and secured
Standards & Compliance
- Follow all club policies, food safety standards, and alcohol service regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
- Participate in pre-event meetings and ongoing training sessions
- Be prepared to support emergency procedures if required
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Professional appearance and a commitment to high service standards
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and humid conditions
Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour
