Overview
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards of all guest rooms, laundry operations, and public/back-of-house areas across the resort. This role ensures consistent delivery of a five-star guest experience while managing labor costs, inventory, and staff performance across a multi-team department.
Indian Springs Resort is looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience in a resort setting. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Rooms
- Oversee daily cleaning, servicing, and inspection of all guest rooms and suites to meet brand and quality standards
- Manage room attendant staffing, scheduling, and productivity to align with occupancy forecasts
- Conduct regular room inspections and spot checks; address deficiencies promptly
- Coordinate with Front Office on room status, VIP arrivals, special requests, and turnover priorities
- Maintain par levels of guest supplies, amenities, and linens for room operations
- Manage lost and found procedures
Laundry
- Oversee on-site or outsourced laundry operations, including linen, terry, and uniform processing
- Ensure laundry turnaround times support housekeeping and F&B operational needs
- Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with engineering
- Manage linen inventory, par stock, replacement cycles, and loss/damage tracking
- Enforce safety and chemical-handling protocols in laundry operations
- Control laundry costs including utilities, chemicals, and outsourcing expenses
Public Areas
- Direct cleaning and maintenance of lobbies, corridors, pool areas, restrooms, back-of-house, meeting spaces, and outdoor guest areas
- Develop and enforce cleaning schedules for high-traffic and high-visibility zones
- Coordinate with Grounds/Facilities on shared outdoor spaces and special event turnovers
- Ensure public areas meet health, safety, and aesthetic standards at all times
Leadership & Administration
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping staff across all sub-departments
- Manage departmental budget, labor costs, and supply/equipment expenditures
- Develop and update SOPs, training materials, and quality checklists
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Partner with HR on staffing needs, particularly for seasonal occupancy fluctuations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, health department, and brand safety standards
- Manage vendor relationships (linen suppliers, chemical suppliers, pest control, uniform services)
- Respond to and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping in a timely, professional manner
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
