Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging high-quality meats while maintaining strict food safety standards. Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to specified standards and customer orders
- Ensure all meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment in accordance with health standards
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Adhere to all food handling and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries about meat products when applicable
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently and accurately
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, preparation, or meat cutting within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate packaging equipment and assist with product labeling
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required
- Prior experience in customer service is beneficial for engaging with customers when needed
