Key Responsibilities
- Teach ELA classes for Middle and high school students, fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for literature and writing through a biblical perspective.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with IRCS’s curriculum, integrating faith into all subject areas.
- Encourage critical thinking, spiritual growth, and character development through academic instruction and classroom discussions.
- Utilize dynamic teaching methods, technology, and real-world applications to enhance student learning.
- Foster a love for both Mathematics and God's Word through engaging teaching strategies, discussions, and discipleship opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student growth, academic achievement, and spiritual formation.
- Actively participate in school events, professional development, and community activities as part of the IRCS team.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Demonstrated experience teaching middle or high school students in an ELA capacity.
- Teaching certification from ACSI or the ability to obtain one
- Strong commitment to Christian values, spiritual discipleship, and the mission of Indian Rocks Christian School.
- A collaborative and supportive leader who exemplifies humility, drive, emotional intelligence, positivity, and unwavering loyalty to the IRCS vision and mission.
- Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks.
- Must be willing to become an active member of Indian Rocks Church as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, and commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.
