Description:
The purpose of ESY is to help some of our more significant special education students maintain the learning that has occurred during the past year. Our ESY Building Coordinators will be selecting teachers and teaching assistants for our ESY positions from the pool of applicants. The ESY Building Coordinators will base staff selections on their previous experience working with applicants and the recommendations from teachers who have worked with our students during the school year. Each year we do hire a number of college age graduates and college students with appropriate certification as a way to introduce them to the prospect of a career in education or to offer practical classroom experience for those studying to be teachers.
ESY Schedule:
ESY Training Work Days: 06/10/26 and 06/11/26
ESY Program Days 06/15/26 to 07/09/26 (Mon -Thur)
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be at least 19 years old.
Qualified candidates will hold a valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (PARA), Substitute License or Professional Educator License, and experience with special education students preferred.

Rate of Pay: $19.63/hour or current rate of pay for existing teaching assistant staff members
Working Conditions: 4 hours in the morning, times will be adjusted by level to accommodate transportation.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected by the ESY Building Coordinators.
