What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance I position at Indian Motorcycle, LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in installation, alterations / modifications, and maintenance of facility’s systems and equipment. Schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 2:30PM-11:00PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide maintenance support for second shift operations, including but not limited to repairs and PM’s for dock equipment, forklift, conveyors, and other duties necessary to support Spirit Lake operations.
- Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Maintenance Work Order system and supervisor’s instructions.
- Install new equipment or work with outside vendors on installation.
- Make required alterations / modifications to equipment and systems.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on systems, machinery and equipment.
- Trouble shooting of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and hydraulic systems.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining maintenance standards and procedures.
- Perform maintenance projects as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required; “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends.
- Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area in compliance with 5-Pillar Standards.
- Complete company provided training.
- Participate in PCI process.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree such as electrical or mechanical maintenance strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years previous maintenance experience required for entry level positions.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required; “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work well with little supervision.
