Description

The Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the emotional well-being of the campus community by leading the design, development, and delivery of outreach, prevention, and educational programming. This position fosters awareness of mental health resources, promotes help-seeking behaviors, and advances emotional resilience among students through collaborative initiatives with campus partners. This position also includes being actively involved in individual case management services for students that are identified as potential benefits of additional services and support. This position will require travel to all Indian Hills campuses and occasional work in the evenings to cater to student schedules.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Public Health, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • Recruiting and/or student advising background desired. Experience at the community college level is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with outreach, event planning, or community education.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation and organizational skills.
  • Cultural competency and a commitment to work with all students.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for campus events.
  • Some experience using social media platforms or digital marketing tools
  • Knowledge of on campus and community resources and support systems.

Work Performed

  • Develop, implement, and assess outreach programs addressing mental health, wellness, stress management, suicide prevention, and stigma reduction.
  • Coordinate annual mental health awareness campaigns (e.g., Mental Health Awareness Month, Suicide Prevention Week).
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and presentations for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide consultation and psychoeducation to student organizations, residence halls, and academic departments.
  • Actively participate in CARE team to identify, contact, and support students who have disengaged, need additional support services, or require case management services.
  • Assist Security and Director of Student Life when conducting student welfare checks
  • Provide one-on-one counsel to students facing non-academic barriers to completion and link them to resources on campus and in the community as needed
  • Cultivate partnerships with campus stakeholders, including Student Development, Residential Life, Campus Safety, Athletics, and faculty.
  • Represent the CPRC on institutional committees and at campus events.
  • Supervise and coordinate peer educator or student club activities.
  • Work closely with support services to assist students.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to provide wraparound support.
  • Design and manage outreach materials (flyers, social media content, newsletters) to promote services and events.
  • Maintain an updated outreach calendar and track attendance and impact.
  • Manage outreach-related website content and digital presence.
  • Collect data to evaluate outreach efforts, including student feedback and engagement metrics.
  • Use data to enhance programming and report outcomes to leadership.
  • Maintain documentation of outreach requests, activities, and outcomes.
  • Assist in the creation of annual reports and strategic planning documents.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center-wide initiatives.
  • Represent IHCC in a positive manner.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Para Professional I - Non-Exempt - Traditional Funding, at will employment on a letter of employment

Employment Length:
3 Term, Full Time, Benefits

Schedule:
7:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday to Thursday. Some nights required
