Type: Tribal Salary Range: $37 to $41 / Per Hour Open Period: 5/14/2026 until filled Summary: Provides chair-side assistance to dental providers in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, endodontic, pediatric and periodontic treatment as provided in general dentistry. Has clinic maintenance and record keeping duties. Duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Seat patients in the dental chair, prepares them for treatment, and reviews their dental records. Sterilize, disinfect instruments and dental equipment. Provides post-operative instructions and provides oral health care education. Prepare materials for dental procedures per manufacturers instruction. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Must have High School diploma or equivalent. Must have completed an Accredited Dental Assisting course or 1 year of dental chairside experience. Dental Assistant National Board Certificate (CDA) preferred but not required Must be a self-starter. Able to work without direct supervision. Knowledge of dental instruments and medical/dental terminology. Knowledge of basic computer skills Must be able to complete Indian Health Service (his) x-ray competency evaluation. Must be able to provide age- specific care to patients of all age levels Must pay attention to detail and assume responsibility for tasks assigned.
