As a Registration Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for patients, making your role essential in creating a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the registration process.
- Collect and verify patient information, including personal details and insurance information.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Provide assistance in both English and another language if bilingual.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years experience or technical training in medical billing or medical records.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Proficient in office management tasks, including administrative duties and data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
