Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management in compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems, such as eClinicalWorks, to document patient care activities thoroughly and efficiently.
- Assist with complex procedures such as suturing and sterile processing while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of care for patients with diverse needs, including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and walk-in care.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention topics, including medication administration, nutrition, wound care, and chronic disease management.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of Montana with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proven experience working in a primary care clinic
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology is essential for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Ability to perform technical skills, including venipuncture (phlebotomy), suturing, and sterile technique adherence.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient education.
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments requiring quick decision-making during urgent or emergent situations such as mental health crises or infectious disease outbreaks.
