We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and monitor animals’ health and behavior throughout the day
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Clean and disinfect animal enclosures and equipment.
- Support veterinary staff with animal handling during diagnostics or treatments
- Maintain detailed records of animal health, treatments, and behaviors
- Handle pet care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and exercise routines
- Assist with specialized sales and interactions between company and buyer.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all interactions with animals and staff
Skills
- Background in animal husbandry preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal needs required
- Experience with animal restraint, medication administration, and pet care practices
- Familiarity with equine handling or large animal care is a plus
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques
- Ability to manage various species safely
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their needs
