Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! Shift timings:-
Monday 9am to 2pm
Tuesday 5:30am to 12pm
Wednesday 5:30am to 1:30pm
Thursday 5:30am to 2pm
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Handle food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
- Support the culinary team in cooking basic menu items and completing meal preparations efficiently
- Manage food handling procedures, including proper use of knives and kitchen tools, to ensure safety and efficiency
- Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs
- Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed
- Serve food in a timely manner during meal service, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service provides a strong foundation for success in this role
- Familiarity with food industry standards, including food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
- Kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment such as restaurants or catering services is preferred
- Demonstrated culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation techniques, and basic cooking methods
- Knowledge of menu planning processes and food service operations enhances your ability to excel here
- Experience working with dietary restrictions or special diets is a plus but not required
