Field Service Engineer / Technician

Your Role:

As an Equipment Technician you will be responsible for:

• Installation, repair, preventative maintenance, of water purification systems and a range of other laboratory equipment.
• Scheduling and completing service visits in a timely manner.
• Troubleshooting complex mechanical issues and problem solving in a fast paced environment
• Ensuring proper administration and management of workload as well as proper documentation of completed work.

This is a field service position. Domestic travel up to 85% of your work-day, however our techs are home most nights and office at home.

Occasional work outside of typical business hours.

Physical Attributes:

Lifting of up to 50 pounds

Wearing of respirator protection

Use of a company vehicle

Who you are:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record
• Ability to pass a state and federal back-ground check
• Ability to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills
• Professional and effective communication skills
• Excellent Computer Literacy, basic IT skills
• Experience/exposure to testing and repairing electro-mechanical devices
• Ability to use hand tools/ Multimeter/ test equipment
• Experience/Exposure completing complex repairs

Qualifications:

• 3 years previous professional experience in Plumbing, Electronics, Commercial Appliance Repair experience
• Experience working with electronic and mechanical devices

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Reverse Osmosis, Electronic De-ionization, or Water For Injection (WFI) is not required but preferred
• Experience with Salesforce/Microsoft Office/ Outlook Calendar
• Experience working with PC Device connections and Network settings, including but not limited to: serial port and USB connections, and IP address settings

Index Services, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician candidate based out of the Lebanon area to service the Central to Eastern Tennessee region. We are looking for someone with hands on mechanical/electrical/ plumbing experience that wants to learn and grow professionally. The equipment we service is modern and high tech. Reverse Osmosis, Electronic De-ionization, or Water For Injection (WFI) water system service experience is ideal. Training, tools, and company vehicle is provided. We are looking for career minded, self motivated applicants that are independent and learn fast.
