We’re seeking a Product Design Engineer who is equal parts creative designer and technical engineer.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role involving ideation, CAD modeling, rendering, prototyping, testing, and production handoff.
You will help design high-performance golf products, accessories, components, and creative artifacts that reflect Killer Golf’s premium, innovative brand identity.
- Design and develop new golf products, components, and accessories from concept through production.
- Create high-quality 3D models (surfaces and assemblies) using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar tools.
- Produce photo-realistic renderings and visualizations using KeyShot or similar software.
- Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create artwork, graphics, product labels, and presentation materials.
- Build functional prototypes using in-house 3D printing or by working with machining and prototyping partners.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, tolerances, assembly, and finish quality.
- Work closely with machining, engineering, and R&D teams to transition concepts into production-ready parts.
- Conduct design testing and validation, including weight/CG analysis, functional testing, and iterative refinement.
- Maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, BOMs, CAD revisions, artwork files, and production specifications.
- Participate in creative artifact development and brand experience design beyond standard engineering tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in product design, mechanical design, or prototype development.
- Strong 3D modeling skills, including complex surfaces, assemblies, and tolerance-driven design.
- Proficiency in KeyShot or similar rendering tools for visualization.
- Strong visual and graphic design capability using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, prototyping, or rapid fabrication.
- Solid understanding of materials, DFM/DFA principles, tolerances, surface finishing, and production processes.
- Creative thinker with strong aesthetic sense and customer-first design intuition.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience in golf equipment design, sports equipment development, or consumer product design.
- Familiarity with CAM programming, jig/fixture design, or advanced prototyping tools.
- Experience with anodizing, coating, or specialty finishing processes.
