Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and installation, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Window Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of windows in residential properties, wood rot repair and ensuring that each project meets our high standards for quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install windows according to specifications and building codes, ensuring proper sealing and insulation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for window installation tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to transport and position windows.
- Conduct necessary fabrication work to customize windows for specific installations.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and organized before, during, and after installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project progress.
- Repair/replace all types of wood rot.
- Repair/install glass and sash.
- Repair/replace seal failures.
- Repair/replace window hardware.
- Repair/replace weatherstripping.
- Installation of new replacement windows.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating to assess project costs accurately.
- Experience with glass installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry skills including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation.
- Familiarity with construction site experience and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
- Skilled in caulking techniques for weatherproofing installations.
- Experience in remodeling projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing and assembly processes is beneficial.
- Maintenance Person experience is advantageous for troubleshooting various installation challenges.

Qualifications
- Must have experience in two of the following:
Caulking, carpentry, residential/commercial glass replacement, metal break use
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to follow company guidelines for safety, quality control and process improvements.
