About the Job:
Join our growing Title Services team as a Title Examiner! In this role, you’ll apply title underwriter guidelines to generate accurate title commitments, review search results to determine insurability and transaction-specific requirements, and calculate title premiums. You’ll partner closely with our underwriter support unit and customers to resolve title issues and help ensure smooth, successful closings.

What You Will Do:
- Review recorded documents and chain of title to determine insurability.
- Assembles requirements on the title insurance commitment necessary to insure the title request, as per the title underwriter requirements and guidelines.
- Calculates premiums and assists with the preparations and approval of documents.
- Reads and maps legal descriptions.
- Construction Draws and Endorsements.
- Policy Preparation and Completion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 10 Years of Prior Title Insurance Examiner Experience.
- Must hold Michigan Resident Title Producer License.
- Excellent Communication, Organization, Analytical Skills, and Attention to detail.
- Must be able to draw and understand legal descriptions.
- Ability to apply underwriter criteria and guidelines of search results to generate an accurate title commitment.
- Computer Skills with preferable experience with SoftPro software.
