What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire Shop Manager position at Independent Tire?
We’re looking for a highly experienced shop manager of our Cape Girardeau location. This is not an entry-level position. You’ll be the primary technician responsible for delivering excellent customer service while keeping the shop running efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Mount, dismount, and balance tires
- Safely operate tire machines and balancing equipment
- Perform stretch tire installations
- Inspect tires and recommend appropriate services
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain accurate tire inventory
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and professional
- Open and close the shop as needed
- Work independently and manage daily operations
Requirements
- Major tire shop experience is REQUIRED
- Must be proficient with:
- Tire machine operation
- Mounting and dismounting tires
- Computer balancing
- Stretch tire installation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision
- Valid driver’s license preferred
