Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, deploy, and sustain Cisco and Arista network infrastructure
- Support LAN, CAN, and WAN environments including performance optimization and troubleshooting
- Apply SSP compliance and STE/STN security requirements to network devices
- Design and implement network solutions including VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, VoIP, NAT, IPSec, and GRE tunneling
- Monitor network performance, minimize latency, and optimize data throughput
- Support network upgrades, cutovers, and infrastructure modernization efforts
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with system engineers, users, and operations teams to resolve network issues
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and support operational continuity
- Significant experience with Cisco and Arista configuration, deployment, and sustainment
- Experience supporting enterprise LAN, CAN, and WAN networking environments
- Familiarity with LatteArt and applying SSP, STE, and STN compliance requirements to network devices
- Strong understanding of network security, routing, switching, and performance optimization
- Experience with network protocols and technologies including VPNs, VoIP, IPSec, NAT, GRE tunneling, and traffic shaping
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues in mission-critical environments
- Willingness to travel as needed and participate in on-call operational support
- Strong collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and twelve (12) years of relevant professional Network Engineering experience; OR
- Sixteen (16) years of relevant professional Network Engineering experience in lieu of a degree, along with an industry-recognized certification such as Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or a Juniper Certification Track (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, or Service Provider Routing and Switching)
- DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III baseline certification required in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
