Compensation

About the Opportunity
Established independent restaurant in Northwest Connecticut seeking a strong General Manager / Operating Leader to help lead the next stage of growth.
We are looking for a hands-on restaurant operator who can lead people, improve systems, strengthen culture, drive profitability, and maximize performance across both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Strong BOH operational experience is preferred, along with leadership capability across the entire restaurant operation.
The ideal candidate thinks like an owner, leads from the front, holds teams accountable, and is motivated by performance-based compensation and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop FOH and BOH teams
- Recruit, train, and retain strong team members
- Establish accountability, standards, and strong workplace culture
- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor efficiency, and team performance
Back of House Operations (Strong BOH Experience Preferred)
- Oversee kitchen execution, prep systems, food quality, and operational consistency
- Manage food cost controls, ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and waste reduction
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and food safety standards
Front of House Operations
- Lead hospitality, guest experience, and service execution
- Improve communication and alignment between FOH and BOH teams
- Help maximize guest satisfaction, repeat business, and revenue opportunities
Growth & Business Performance
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
- Monitor labor, food cost, inventory, and operational KPIs
- Identify opportunities for improved systems, marketing support, promotions, and business growth
- Work directly with ownership on operational strategy and performance improvement
Qualifications
- Restaurant leadership or GM experience preferred
- Strong BOH background strongly preferred
- Understanding of labor management, food cost, inventory, and restaurant financial performance
- Proven leadership, accountability, and problem-solving ability
- FOH leadership experience and guest-service mindset
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to contribute beyond day-to-day management
